Life Institute of Health Science (LIHS) was established in 2022 with the aim to educate and train skilled medical laboratory professionals to serve the society in the fields of pathology, blood banking and allied health sciences. LIHS is formally affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot, vide college affiliation code 23154.
Saurashtra University was established in 1967 under University Grant Commission (UGC), India, with a beautiful campus spread over 363 acres of land, housing 29 Post Graduate Departments on campus and 238 affiliated colleges.The jurisdiction of the University includes Amreli, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar and Morbi districts of Gujarat.
The first batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (P.G.-D.M.L.T.) for academic year 2022-23 was inaugurated on August 11, 2022.
